Introducing the Little Man..Jaden Emery Decker

About time I post about my new favorite little boy. Jaden was born on April 8 at 7:30 in the morning. For the most part it was a easy delivery. I got the the hospital early in the morning, was already at 6 cm., got an epidural, and relaxed until time to push. He suprized us all with blonde hair and he was huge (9lbs 10 oz!). After a little more than a week this is what we've learned about our new little man:

Jaden is really easy going- he eats, sleeps and poops with little crying.

He can pee across a dr. waiting room. He has showered everyone- oh the joys of boys ;-)!

Jaden eats like maniac. The first couple of days he had lost almost a pound but was almost back up to weight by the following Monday. Our next check up is Monday- I'm betting he is pushing 10lbs by now!

Jaden is the funniest baby ever in Mea's eyes. He just looks at her and she cracks up laughing hysterically. It is funny to watch the interactions between them already.

Jaden can go through about 15 diapers and 3 outfits a day... what do you expect from a kid-o that eats so much. What goes in must come out!

He is amazingly beautiful and happy. We are all so thankful and for the joy he has already

brought into our home. He is a perfect little boy!

Kite Flying

This has been a while, but I decided the pictures were too cute not to post. Mea enjoyed kite flying even though she only stayed interested for about 10 mins. Then it was on to the swing. Also, I have a little artist on my hands. Mea was so proud of her picture of a mermaid she let us take a picture. I am so impressed with her abilities. She loves to draw and write. She score in the 5 year old range for some of her writing skills in her pre-k screening. Pretty impressive. Now if only I could get those gross motor skills up. She inherited her mom's grace ;-)!

This is the picture I took of Mea that reminded me of a John McCain ad. Notice the far off look in her eye as if she is looking for someone to come in and swoop her from her nursing home room. Birthday

It was my birthday not that long ago. I am reminded of how lucky I am. I have a fantastic husband. I laugh and say that Jared is making me soft, but I really appreciate being babied at times. Mea is great. She is so much fun. Right now attitude streams out at times, she is funny and most of the time happy. I work hard at a job that I love. My extended family is wonderfully supportive. So, I am a blessed, old (my students think) lady!

Our New House

The stress level in our house is slowly working to a boil. I have 7 weeks to go and in 4 we are moving to a new house. (Keep in mind last pregnancy I went 2 weeks early). Everyone is excited, especially Mea (Her rooms is great and already painted pink with butterflies). But, the plan, or lack of planning is starting to make us nervous. I hate asking for help, and that attitude is just not going to work this time around. So knowing that I will have to swallow my pride, I am sure that everything will work out.

Prego!

Last week This week Okay, so I realize that I am pregnant but looking at the pics this week I realized how pregnant I am looking. Here's a shot of last week compared to this week. Jaden is getting bigger!

New Mexico Trip

Fancy Nancy, Mea's favorite cow. Eating snow. Mea riding Dobber. She was really brave and hopped right on. Yummy...hot chocolate and "marshpillows". Family pic. Mea had just fallen off the sled so she was a bit grumpy. Charlie Brown snowman. The bull got him shortly after this picture. Snow angel. Sledding fun! We just got home from a fun/action packed trip to New Mexico. Everyone had a lot of fun and I think Jared really enjoyed being back home. Mea has decided that she is a princess cow girl. She was really brave and rode on a mule, pet "her" cows, and played in the snow. It was really nice to see everyone and relax.
